In the Xena: Warrior Princess episodes, Sacrifice (parts 1 and 2), Callisto has allied herself with the evil entity Dahak. To complete his emergence into the world, she must help his cult to revive his daughter Hope, who remains in a cocoon stage in the cave of Sister Peaks waiting to be reborn. In a spectacular battle, Xena defeats Callisto by triggering a rockslide that buries the Warrior-Goddess. Unfortunately, Ares appears at the last moment to steal the cocoon away, relocating it to the Halls of War. There, during the sacrificial ceremony, Xena and Gabrielle desperately fight off the cultists, but the young woman Seraphinis accidentally stabbed, completing the ritual. The cocoon ruptures and Hope emerges, looking almost exactly like her mother: Gabrielle.
